This special pendant was first purchased by Tāmaki Loves Palestine member Robin on a trip to Palestine in 2014. A small shop in the Aida refugee camp in Bethlehem sold keepsakes of Palestine’s history as well as its present-day resistance. This coin pendant features the word “Palestine” or “Falasteen” in Arabic script. Cast in sterling silver and set on a sterling silver chain.
