Ceramic bowl handmade in Aotearoa by Alex Jones. 

Alex hand-builds his pots from iron-heavy stoneware clay. The exterior of this bowl is decorated by the ash and soda landing on the bowl during two seperate firings. The interior of the bowl is glazed with a cobalt celadon, created with the intention of it running and pooling in the low points of the bowl.

Alex Jones is a potter from Maungarei (Mt Wellington), Auckland. Alex is focused on building barely functional pots with a sense of personality. Each pot is built to have an opinion and contribute to the spaces they inhabit.
